Thai Tea

Ingredients:

1 cup Thai tea

10 cups water

1-1 ½ cups sugar

Half and half or evaporated milk

Thai tea cloth bag, strainer, or colander

Directions:

  • In large pot, bring water to boil, then add Thai tea and let it brew at high low heat for 30-45 minutes

  • Add sugar during the tea cooking time

  • Drain the tea with Thai tea bag

  • Let it cool and chill it before serve

  • Serving in a glass of ice and top it with evaporated milk

Please note: This method is the way Thai restaurants in the states brewing their Thai tea. The tradition way (in Thailand) is different. However the result is almost the same J! One more thing we use an evaporated milk to top the tea in Thailand, but in the states half and half can be used as alternative.
